10-journey Lijnkaart with municipal discount

Some municipalities give their residents and visitors a discount on a Lijnkaart that allows you to travel within a certain area. Under this deal, as a passenger you can purchase a 10-journey Lijnkaart with a municipal discount for €10.
The passenger pays €1 per journey, and the local government pays the difference from the actual Lijnkaart rate (€1.60 per journey).

Our travel passes have been held on a MOBIB card for some time. Scan your ticket or pass on an electronic card whenever you board or transfer. You need to scan for every trip and every person.

• Scan your 10-journey Lijnkaart with municipal discount whenever you board or transfer, near the driver or at a scanner further down the vehicle. You can use as many buses and trams as you like within 60 minutes and then complete your ride.
• Do you want to know how many trips are left on your card? First press the info button on the scanner and then scan your card. You’ll then be able to see how many journeys are left on your card or how long your ticket is still valid for. You can also use the info button on the ticket machines. Here too you can see how many journeys are left on your Lijnkaart.
• If you use a 10-journey Lijnkaart with municipal discount for several people, scan it once for each person in rapid succession (within two minutes).

Good to know

The card expires three years after the issue date.
